How do I remove sales from other channels in my Shopify account?

If you sell connect other marketplaces (like Amazon, eBay, Etsy and others) to Shopify using third party apps, and then link your Shopify store to Seller Ledger, it's possible to end up with duplicate transactions if you also connect those other channels directly.

The good news is that Seller Ledger makes it easy to tell your Shopify account to skip importing orders that came from another connected marketplace, so each sale only shows up once in your books.

How to skip duplicate order sources

  1. From your dashboard, click into your Shopify account.

  1. At the top of the account view, click the edit (pencil) icon next to the account name.

  1. In the pop-up, scroll down to the section labeled Imported Order Sources. You'll see a list of the different sources Shopify is reporting for your orders.

  1. Uncheck any source that represents a marketplace you already have connected to Seller Ledger.
  2. Click Save.

Once saved, Seller Ledger will remove the orders from the unchecked sources out of your Shopify account so they only appear under the original marketplace. Going forward, any new orders from that source will also be skipped.

What if the source name is just a number?

Seller Ledger automatically removes easily identifiable channels if you also have them connected. However, because there are many third party applications which vary in their approach to passing other marketplace data to Shopify

Depending on how your app integrates with Shopify, the "source" may not show up as a friendly name like "Amazon." Instead, you may see a long numeric ID.

If you're not sure which source belongs to which marketplace, here's a quick way to figure it out:

  • Look at the order counts or dates next to each source and compare them to your marketplace activity.
  • Click into each marketplace channel from your dashboard and find specific transactions that also show up in Shopify. Then, uncheck a numbered option under Imported Order Sources and see which orders disappear. You can always add them back if they were not duplicates.

What happens to orders that were already imported?

When you uncheck a source, Seller Ledger will remove the previously imported Shopify orders that came from that source, so you won't be left with duplicates in your history. The original orders from the connected marketplace (for example, your Amazon account) will remain untouched.

Can I turn a source back on later?

Yes. If you ever disconnect a marketplace or decide you'd rather track those orders through Shopify, just go back into the same Imported Order Sources section and re-check the box. Seller Ledger will start importing those orders again.
