How do I attach receipts to transactions?

Keeping track of receipts is one of those bookkeeping chores that can pile up fast. Whether it's a shipping supply purchase, a business meal, or a piece of equipment, having a copy of the receipt tied to the transaction makes tax time (and any potential audit) much easier. Seller Ledger lets you attach receipt images or PDFs directly to your transactions, so everything stays in one place.

Where can I attach a receipt?

You can attach receipts to any transaction inside a bank account, credit card account, or PayPal account in Seller Ledger. This includes both imported transactions and any you've entered manually.

How to attach a receipt

  1. Click into the account (bank, credit card, or PayPal) that contains the transaction you want to add a receipt to.
  2. Find the transaction and look for the paperclip/attachment icon on the far right

  1. Click to upload a file from your computer. Seller Ledger supports common file formats like JPG, PNG, and PDF.

  1. Click "Done" and your receipt will be saved with that transaction.

Viewing and managing attached receipts

After a receipt is attached, you'll see an indicator on the transaction letting you know a file is stored there. To view the receipt:

  • Click into the transaction.
  • Click the receipt icon to the far right of the transaction to view the attached file.
