Can I add my own categories?

You certainly can. Seller Ledger calls them sub-categories, and it only takes a few moments to add one.

Go to the categories page or click on the Settings tab and you will see all of the categories in Seller Ledger. Click the button to add either a new Income or Expense Sub-Category and you'll see the following pop-up:

Enter the name of your new sub-category, and then select the current category you'd like it to fall under. Click save to finish.

Now, when you go bank into your bank or credit card account to categorize a transaction, you'll see your new sub-category in the drop-down list. It will also show up in your Profit & Loss report.
