Why should I set my local time zone in Seller Ledger?
When Seller Ledger imports transaction data from connected accounts, we tend to receive them with date and timestamps that are based on UTC (once known as Greenwich Mean Time.) While an industry standard, this timestamp is 4-5 hours ahead of the US East Coast.
Now, when you are looking at transactions on your marketplace account, you are likely to see those transactions after they have been adjusted for your local time zone. The same is true when the totals are reported on form 1099-K.
So, to ensure that the data in Seller Ledger matches what is being reported on your marketplace or store platform, we have added support for your local time zone.
Just go to Settings -> Business, and you'll see a new field for selecting your local time zone.
Choose your local time zone, click save, and you're all set.
